The food was super delicious, and easy on stomach- not too greasy/creamy, neither burning spices. I usually can not eat properly while eating Indian food outside because of the heaviness in terms of butter and spices but Indian Palate’s food was light but flavourful. Service was super fast and the staff is really courteous. Thank you so much !
Soooo delicious! Lots of flavour and the portions are large enough to have leftovers I ordered the Gobi Aloo (Cauliflower and Potato), Dal Makhani (Black Lentil). My mum always has the butter chicken because it’s that’s good. And of course rice and naan. The service was wonderful and while it was empty inside the restaurant, they were steadily preparing take out orders! You’ll be happy you stopped in for a meal
Wow a local woman we met randomly on the street told us to come here for an amazing lunch so we did and it was superb! We had the Dahl Makhani and a Chicken Coconut curry of some sort that is apparently popular. Plus garlic naan and rice. Everything was absolutely delicious- highly recommend! And the service was quick and super friendly. We are so glad we stopped in! I forgot to take a photo until we were finished!
I dined solo and ordered the coconut chicken (med spice), rice and a glass of wine. The aroma of my dinner was so incredible that I just sat for a bit to enjoy it before I ate. The flavour was incredible and the spice was perfect! I have enough for lunch and dinner tomorrow (albeit maybe smaller portions than normal), so really looking forward to that. Also, the service was great and my server was so friendly and gave me a great recommendation when I wasn't sure what to order. Highly recommend dining here!
Some of the best Indian food we've had. The flavours were amazing, the textures were wonderful, and the spice level was perfect! The calamari was excellent, the coconut curry prawns were to die for and the chicken tika was super tasty! This is a must go to new restaurant!
Absolutely the BEST Indian cuisine on all of Vancouver Island! From the moment we walked in, the warm and friendly service made us feel right at home. Every dish was bursting with authentic flavor, made fresh with love and care — you can taste the difference! The food was perfectly spiced, the naan was soft and fluffy, and the biryani was out of this world. You have to try this place — whether you’re a long-time fan of Indian food or new to it, you’ll be blown away. So fresh, so flavorful, and the team is so welcoming. I can’t recommend it enough! Once you try it, trust me, you’ll definitely be coming back again. Highly, highly recommended!
The serving staff are lovely and friendly. The owner came to the table several times to see how our meal was. The food arrived quickly, and every dish was delicious. The spice levels were accurate. We ate every morsel out of every dish that was delivered to our table. The naan bread is excellent, crunchy and bubbly and fresh.
Phenomenal restaurant! Service was fantastic, food is the best Indian food we've ever had. We were celebrating a special occasion and they went above and beyond to make it special for us. Can't recommend this place enough!
